Counsellor/Psychotherapist * CBT Therapist * Life Coach

Colin offers Counselling, and Psychotherapy and is a CBT Therapist, Life Coach, and integrates these methods into his unique therapeutic coaching approach.

Colin likes to take a  solution-based approach to his work and describes himself as a therapeutic Coach. He has lots of experience in workplace stress and wellbeing and has a natural empathic style.

He likes to encourage clients that sometimes the best solution to poor or challenging mental health is to focus and fill life space with a positive forward-thinking approach and embrace positive experiences and personal strengths, whilst accepting that a different approach may be needed for more vulnerable clients.

Colin has a great interest and experience in life coaching and believes that taking positive steps in our lives can be the biggest weapon in challenging poor mental health. Colin helps clients take back control, coupled with the acceptance that to move forward in life, sometimes we have to ensure that the past is safely packed away and understood”.

Colin has over 33 years of working in the uniformed services, and this has led him to gain extensive experience supporting people who have been exposed to traumatic events, incorporating his training and qualifications in Trauma Risk Management(TRIM).

Colin says “ I have personally experienced challenging anxiety-driven low times and met many people in the uniformed services who have suffered from everything from depression, low self-esteem, and addiction issues, and therefore a realization that a uniform is no barrier or protection to mental health challenges and illnesses."

Colin also works part-time as a Therapist for a charity supporting Victims of domestic abuse and this experience has enriched and informed his ability to work with people who have or are currently experiencing relationship problems

Colin specializes in Anxiety, Depression, Trauma & PTSD, Men’s issues & Suicide, and Life Coaching, but also has a wide breadth of experience of working with a diverse client base experiencing a wide variety of mental health challenges.
