Laura Clifford-Jones: Clinical Supervisor * Counsellor/Psychotherapist * Trauma Therapist * Executive & Life Coach
With over a decade of international experience in both private and corporate settings, Laura Clifford-Jones is a highly regarded therapist and clinical supervisor. Laura’s expertise encompasses supporting high achievers, business owners, and individuals with neurodiversity—including ADHD, autism, and dyslexia. Laura is also recognised for her work with complex trauma (including childhood, historic, and recent sexual trauma and abuse), generalised trauma, sexuality and gender issues, LGBTQ+ clients, eating disorders, and those who identify as introverted.
Clients—both individuals and organisations—can expect a tailored, confidential, and professional therapeutic service. Laura’s practice is grounded in clinical excellence, ethical standards, and a deep respect for each client’s unique journey. Her approach is informed by a thorough understanding of how early life experiences shape adult wellbeing. Laura is committed to creating a safe, trusting environment where clients are empowered to address and overcome negative thoughts, feelings, and beliefs.
Laura utilises a range of evidence-based, trauma-informed therapeutic techniques, including EMDR, EFT, person-centred, and solution-focused approaches. Therapy is collaborative, with shared decision-making to ensure clients are actively involved in their own therapeutic or coaching process. This partnership fosters positive change and personal growth.
A dedicated lifelong learner, Laura integrates the latest insights from neuroscience into her practice. She is passionate about psychoeducation, helping clients understand the workings of the brain and how this knowledge can enhance psychological resilience. By demystifying the science behind therapy, Laura enables clients to better understand themselves and develop effective coping strategies.
Laura brings both personal and professional insight to her work with neurodiversity. Diagnosed with dyslexia at age nine and later identified with autistic traits, Laura draws on her own experiences to build authentic connections with clients. She believes that self-awareness is fundamental to understanding others, echoing Dan Siegel’s perspective: “Our awareness of another person’s state of mind depends on how well we know our own.”
Her training covers a broad spectrum, including adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), anxiety, complex trauma, eating disorders, introversion, leadership and management, personality psychology, rape and sexual trauma, self-harm, neurodiversity, and working with young people (11+). Laura is also qualified in EMDR and EFT, and is currently pursuing a Level 7 qualification in Trauma-Informed Coaching Management.
Laura is an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy, the National Counselling & Psychotherapy society, and also holds memberships with the EMDR-UK Association, EFT Mindfulness, and ICM. These affiliations reflect her commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to the highest standards of practice.
Laura’s reputation is built on her ability to offer bespoke therapeutic solutions that respect the individuality of each client. Her integrative, evidence-based approach ensures that therapy is both effective and responsive to the diverse needs of those she supports. Whether working with individuals or organisations, Laura’s focus remains on fostering resilience, promoting growth, and enabling lasting positive change.
