Steven Eveleigh
Steven stated after spending most of my professional career working in IT in particular helping to resolve common hardware and software issues I have become bored and decided I needed a change.
I had felt stressed and anxious about how I had been feeling so I decided in 2012 to enroll in my first counselling skills course to see if I can learn more about these feelings. I didn’t realise just what an impact this course would have on me. I felt for the first time that I may have found a career that felt just right. I went on to continue with my studies and qualified as a Counsellor in 2016.
As a self identify gay counsellor I am particularly interested in helping members of the gay and lesbian community talk about their lives. Many clients have not been able to talk about their identity or sexuality so it’s really important to me that I am able to build a trusting and supportive relationship with clients so they feel comfortable enough to discuss and explore what is happening in their life.
Specialised in Lesbian & Gay counselling, Transgender Counselling, Sexuality, Self-esteem and Anxiety.
