Anna Elston is an NCPS Accredited Addictions Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor with almost two decades of experience supporting individuals, groups and families affected by addiction, trauma and behavioural health difficulties.

She specialises in alcohol and drug dependency, gambling, pornography and other behavioural addictions, alongside the anxiety, depression, shame, trauma and relationship difficulties that often accompany addiction.

Alongside her independent private practice, Anna is an Associate Clinical Supervisor with Priory and Mount Carmel rehabilitation centre, supporting multidisciplinary addiction teams. She also provides specialist addiction aftercare counselling for patients discharged from residential treatment through CATCH Recovery, part of Castle Health.

Anna has worked within several of the UK's leading addiction residential and structured day programme services. She has also served as Senior Coordinator for the Amy Winehouse Foundation Resilience Programme, supporting young people and families affected by addiction.

Having maintained long-term recovery from alcoholism for over two decades, Anna combines lived experience with evidence-based therapeutic practice. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative and trauma-informed, creating a safe, non-judgemental space where lasting change can take place.

Anna works with individuals, groups and professionals seeking clinical supervision, offering both online and in-person appointments through Poole Therapies.

Her work has been featured on a Channel 5 documentary discussing alcohol dependency, and she has delivered keynote presentations and training on addiction and recovery, including delivering a speech for HRH The Princess of Wales.
