Carla state

I volunteered with Cruse Bereavement Care for 7 years, starting as a bereavement volunteer then on to supervisor, working with CYP, doing assessments and all admin, and in the later years, I became a trainer for new volunteers and supervisors to the South’s branches. From this experience, I would like to think my expertise is in the vast area of bereavement, loss (all), and grief.

Following completion of a placement position and qualifying as a counsellor I was asked to continue as lead counsellor to 6 trainee counsellors within a GP practice for two years, where I gained not only supervisory experience but a vast client subject range covering anxiety, depression, relationship issues, alcohol abuse, coercive control and more.

I have also worked within the educational sector as a Teaching Assistant and have many years of experience working as a Librarian

My area of expertise is loss. This includes bereavement, grief work, and endings. Ending of a relationship or a significant chapter in our life.
